We proudly present you the first edition of our Afghan cookbook 'Saphar, a culinary adventure through Afghanistan'. In this cookbook, author Parwin Zamani makes a tour (Saphar) through the different provinces of Afghanistan, introducing local ingredients and using traditional recipes from her native country.

"Cook with your heart and think with your feelings". That was the first lesson Parwin Zamani learned from her mother when she taught her to cook. She writes this book to prevent the loss of recipes and traditions, which have been passed down through generations only orally. 

The book paints a picture of the rich, exotic (food) culture of Afghanistan. Over 40 recipes for everyday meals and festive recipes for occasions are interspersed with beautiful photos of ancient Afghanistan, local customs and Parwin's personal stories.
